The Pro Tick Bone Safety Panel is the Tick Bone Panel for dogs with the Snap 4Dx rapid test added. It covers a CBC, a blood parasite smear, ALT (a liver enzyme), creatinine (a kidney marker) and the Snap 4Dx kit. Snap 4Dx screens for exposure to Ehrlichia, Anaplasma and Lyme disease bacteria and for heartworm (spread by mosquitoes), giving your vet a deeper check of a dog with suspected tick fever.

Does a positive Snap 4Dx mean my dog is sick right now?

Not always. The kit finds signs of exposure, such as antibodies, so a dog may test positive after meeting the germ even if it is no longer sick. Your vet combines it with the smear, blood counts and your dog's signs.
