Pashupatinath Vet Lab is operated by Duaji Healthcare and Tech Private Limited.
1. Purpose of diagnostic testing
Pashupatinath Vet Lab provides veterinary diagnostic testing to support the assessment and management of animal health. Our laboratory results are intended to assist veterinary professionals and do not independently replace a clinical examination, medical history, professional judgment or other investigations.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, we do not provide a definitive clinical diagnosis or treatment solely by issuing a laboratory report.
2. No guarantee of diagnosis
No diagnostic test is completely accurate in every circumstance. A normal result does not necessarily exclude disease, and an abnormal result does not necessarily establish a particular disease.
Results must be interpreted by a veterinarian in the context of the animal's species, age, clinical signs, history, treatment, examination and other relevant findings.
3. Specimen quality and pre-analytical limitations
Results may be affected by specimen collection, identification, quantity, storage, transport, contamination, haemolysis, clotting, degradation, timing and other pre-analytical factors.
Where a specimen is unsuitable or compromised, the laboratory may reject it, request a replacement or issue an appropriate qualification where technically justified. A report must not be interpreted without considering any stated specimen limitation.
4. Analytical limitations
Different analytical methods have different sensitivities, specificities, detection limits, reference intervals and sources of interference.
Depending on the test, limitations may include false-positive results, false-negative results, cross-reactivity, low target concentration, intermittent shedding, microbial contamination, biological variation, technical failure or an inconclusive result.
A negative RT-PCR result, for example, does not invariably exclude infection. A culture result does not always establish the cause of clinical disease. A histopathology finding may require correlation with clinical findings, imaging, sampling location or other investigations.
These examples are general and do not imply that every limitation applies to every test.
5. Third-party laboratory testing
Certain tests may be processed or reported by an independent Third-Party Laboratory. Where applicable, the reporting documentation or booking communication will identify the external testing arrangement and relevant reporting laboratory.
The external laboratory may apply its own validated methods, quality-control procedures, specimen acceptance criteria, interpretive limitations and report-correction procedures.
Pashupatinath Vet Lab will exercise reasonable care over the activities for which it is responsible, including applicable sample handling, referral and communication duties. Third-party involvement does not eliminate any responsibility that applicable law places on Pashupatinath Vet Lab.
6. Reference intervals and interpretation
Reference intervals and decision limits may vary according to the species, age, physiological status, analytical method, instrument, laboratory and relevant population.
A value outside a reference interval does not automatically establish disease, and a value within a reference interval does not guarantee that an animal is healthy.
7. Clinical decisions and treatment
Do not start, stop, alter or administer medicines, supplements or other treatment solely on the basis of a laboratory report or information on our website without appropriate veterinary advice.
If the animal's condition is deteriorating, obtain veterinary assessment even if a report is normal, pending or inconclusive.
8. Critical and emergency conditions
Pashupatinath Vet Lab is a diagnostic laboratory, not an emergency treatment facility. A laboratory booking or pending report must not delay urgent veterinary care.
For collapse, breathing difficulty, seizures, uncontrolled bleeding, suspected poisoning, severe pain or another serious condition, contact a veterinarian immediately.
We cannot guarantee a specific critical-result notification time unless a specific service and response arrangement has been expressly agreed.
9. Repeat tests and conflicting results
A veterinarian may recommend repeat testing, confirmation by a different method, testing at another laboratory or further investigation if results conflict with the clinical picture.
Different results may arise from biological changes, specimen variation, timing, method differences or other technical factors. A difference does not, by itself, prove that either report is incorrect.
Requests for technical review or correction should include the booking reference and report number.
10. Limitation of this disclaimer
This disclaimer explains the intended use and inherent limitations of diagnostic testing. It does not remove or reduce any legal duty, consumer right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law. It should be read with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
