Tick Bone Panel
Fever, weakness or ticks on your dog or cat? Start here.
4 tests in one package · Sample: 5 mL - serum + whole blood (EDTA)
The Tick Bone Panel checks a pet's blood for tick-borne parasites on a smear, counts the blood cells, and measures ALT (a liver enzyme) and creatinine (a kidney marker). Tick fever can affect the blood cells, the liver and the kidneys, so looking at all four together gives your vet a wider picture than one test alone. It is commonly used as a first check for a dog or cat with fever, weakness or ticks.
