Basic Health Panel
A quick check of blood, liver and kidney.
5 tests in one package · Sample: 5 mL - serum + whole blood (EDTA)
The Basic Health Panel checks the blood cells (CBC), two liver enzymes (SGPT/ALT and alkaline phosphatase, or ALP) and two kidney markers (urea and creatinine). It gives your vet a quick first look at blood, liver and kidney health. It is often used when a pet seems unwell without clear signs, or as a simple health check.

A CBC counts the red cells, white cells and platelets in a blood sample and can help show anaemia (low red cells), infection or inflammation (the body's reaction to injury). It suits dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes.
HaematologySample: Whole blood (EDTA)Single test: ₹400

SGPT / ALT is a blood test for an enzyme that leaks out of damaged liver cells. It helps vets look for liver injury in dogs and cats, and is read with other tests in cows and buffaloes.

Blood urea is a waste product made when the body breaks down protein, and healthy kidneys remove it. High levels can point to kidney disease or dehydration.

A serum creatinine test measures a waste product from muscle that the kidneys filter out. A high level may show that the kidneys are not clearing waste well in dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes.

ALP is an enzyme found mainly in the liver, bile ducts and bone. High levels may point to liver or bile duct disease, or to normal bone growth in young animals.
