About Pashupatinath Vet Lab

Last updated 18 October 2026

Pashupatinath Vet Lab is a veterinary diagnostic laboratory in Shahpura, Bhopal, that tests samples from dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes and sends clear reports to owners and their veterinarians. Our logo sums up our aim: "Precision care, trusted results."

Who we are

We are a laboratory, not a clinic, so we do not examine or treat animals. We test samples carefully and report results clearly, so your vet can decide what to do next.

The lab was founded by Dr. Durgesh Mittal, who leads it as Chief Veterinary Pathologist.

What we test

We work across these departments:

  • Haematology: blood cell counts, such as the Complete Blood Count (CBC).
  • Biochemistry: blood tests that can show how the liver, kidneys and other organs are working.
  • Hormone assays: thyroid hormone, cortisol, progesterone and other hormones.
  • Serology: checks serum (the clear part of blood) for antibodies against infections and other markers.
  • Urine and faecal examination: urine and stool (dung) checked for signs of infection, crystals, blood and worm eggs.
  • Skin examination: skin scrapings and hair checked for mites and fungus.
  • Blood protozoan examination: a thin film of blood on a slide, stained and checked for tiny parasites, many spread by ticks.
  • Culture and sensitivity: grows the germ causing an infection and, for bacteria, checks which antibiotics can work against it.
  • Histopathology, biopsy and cytology: tissue and cells examined to help identify lumps, growths and inflammation.
  • PCR: can detect the genetic material (DNA or RNA) of germs and parasites.
  • ELISA and rapid kit tests: can detect antibodies or parts of a germ, in the lab or with a quick kit.

Animals we serve

  • Dog and Cat: health checks, tests before surgery and tests when a pet is unwell.
  • Cow and Buffalo: health checks and tests for udder infection (mastitis), breeding and herd screening.

For other animals, call or WhatsApp us to ask whether we can help.

How a sample travels

  1. Collect: we collect the sample free anywhere in Bhopal, at your home, farm or clinic. From outside Bhopal, samples reach us by courier, bus parcel or through your local vet.
  2. Analyse: the sample is labelled, checked and tested in our lab.
  3. Report: your report is sent on WhatsApp or email and saved in My Reports in your account.
  4. Your vet interprets: your registered veterinarian reads the results with your animal's signs and history, and decides on treatment or further tests.

Our commitment

We report what the sample shows, without guessing. If a sample is not suitable, we ask for a fresh one rather than give an unreliable report.

Your reports are private: we send them to you and the vet you name, and never sell your information.
