Kidney Care Panel
Kidney markers, urine protein and salts together, for dogs and cats with kidney worries.
6 tests in one package · Sample: Serum + urine
The Kidney Care Panel puts the KFT, SDMA, urine tests, electrolytes and phosphorus together. SDMA is another kidney marker in the blood, and the urine protein-creatinine ratio shows whether protein is leaking into the urine. Together they give your vet a fuller picture of how the kidneys are working. A registered veterinarian reads the results together with the animal's signs and history.
Tests inside this package
-
A Kidney Function Test (KFT) is a group of blood tests that can show how well the kidneys are filtering waste out of the blood. It is done on serum from dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes.

SDMA is a blood test that shows how well the kidneys of a dog or cat are filtering the blood. SDMA often rises earlier than creatinine, the older kidney marker, when kidney function starts to fall.
Canine & Feline Specific AssaysSample: SerumSingle test: ₹2,200
-
A urine routine test checks urine for colour, chemistry and cells under the microscope. It can help show infection, kidney trouble, stones or diabetes in dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes.

Urine protein-creatinine ratio
The UPC ratio compares protein with creatinine in urine to show how much protein is being lost in the urine. It helps vets find and follow kidney problems that leak protein.
Urine, Stool & Skin TestsSample: UrineSingle test: ₹700
-
A serum electrolytes test measures sodium, potassium and chloride, the blood salts that control body water, nerves, muscles and heartbeat. It is done on serum from dogs, cats, cows and buffaloes.
BiochemistrySample: Serum (plain)Single test: ₹450
-
Serum phosphorus measures a mineral that works with calcium for strong bones and cell energy. High levels may point to kidney disease; low levels to poor feed or a mineral shortage.
